Upcoming events at RPL:
If a patron wants to volunteer at the library and is at least 16 years old, please have them fill out a volunteer application and background check. Send completed forms to Melody with any notes regarding what they are looking to do, if you feel they would be a good volunteer, etc. All volunteer applications have to be approved by the county before we can set up volunteer times. Applications can be found on Commons - N:\Volunteer\volunteer with background check.pdf
Marian Lytle (who was Children’s Services Librarian at RPL from 1987-2003) will begin her position of Library Manager at our South Branch on Monday, March 25th. Marian has been working as a Media Specialist for the Rowan-Salisbury Schools since she left RPL. We are excited to welcome Marian back to RPL!
To all benefited staff:

From Edward:
The wireless access points are being upgraded over the next few days (South should already have this, East on 03/21, and HQ early next week). "rowannc-wifi" will replace "rowanncguest" and "rowan-static". Public users will see a splash screen and "static" users will bypass that page automatically. We are hopeful that our patrons will soon be able to print wirelessly from their laptops.
