thank you!

My heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make our baby shower possible.  Rowan Public Library was the first place I visited when we moved to China Grove five years ago--the first place I made lasting friendships in this community, and what has truly made China Grove feel like home.  I still can’t believe we’re having a baby, but I’m so grateful to know that you’re all cheering us on to the finish line.  I cannot express in words how grateful Seth and I are for the outpouring of love and support you have shown us throughout the past five years, and especially this past weekend.  I am so privileged to have worked at each location and thus worked alongside pretty much everyone in the organization.  I love you all and can’t wait for you to meet our little man!

Love always,
April

packing baskets for the courier

Please make sure that all interoffice envelopes are on top in one basket for whichever branch they destined. The blue money bags should always be visible for the courier when they arrive to pick up the baskets.

Beginning the week of February 14th, 2015 the courier will now have a canvas bag to carry the blue money bags and all envelopes destined for HQ. As soon as the courier arrives back at HQ they will take that container to Administration on the third floor, deliver the money and envelopes then return the container to the van. Our goal is to make sure all items arrive at their destination on schedule.

Thank you to all who prepare the baskets and work to make sure materials move around our system smoothly.

LS2 Update

When a staff member reserves a book by the barcode the system will not generate a message that the book needs to be pulled. The system recognizes that you are holding the book in your hand or you know where the book is located. If a book is reserved using first available copy then the system will generate a message for another a staff member to pull the book. This will happen even if you are at the branch where the book is located. Hopefully this explains why sometimes reserves are generating a message and sometimes not.
