blue tag special
From Pam--
Pieces of furniture or equipment with a blue “Property of Rowan County” sticker are fixed assets of the library. Each sticker has a number and it is listed on the library’s inventory list. This list is updated by Edward and I at the end of each Fiscal Year. If you have an item with a blue sticker that is no longer needed or broke; it must be listed as surplus, paperwork must be filled out, sent to the County so it can be taken off the inventory list.
If you are needing to dispose of an item please contact me. I will take care of processing the paperwork.

sending items to tech
From Tech Services Staff--
When sending any item to Tech for repair it must be changed in LS Circ using "Special Status" on the "Check-In" screen. If an item shows as "Checked In" or "In Transit" when it is really in Tech Services, this is not fair to the patrons or to other staff members who may be searching for that item.

READING CHALLENGE BOOK CLUB / EVENT3
Thursday, September 26th @ 7 pm
Review & Discussion of Salvation by Kurt Corriher. Dr. Corriher, professor of modern foreign languages at Catawba College, will discuss the creative process he used with Someone to Kill, and with Salvation. A writer and stage actor, his approach to the mystique of creativity is uniquely his own and fascinating to hear. Salvation departs from the international intrigue of Corriher's first novel and takes the reader down river on a tightly woven adventure starting in the NC mountains in 1941, ending on the coast in a hurricane. The novel is a full-blooded tale of family, love, and murder tossed with revenge and no little redemption. Salvation is, indeed, what all the characters seek.
